Flesh was firm, fragrance was mild. growing near chanterelles, under pine in humus. | ||

We found them growing in the middle of an old firepit when up in the mountains looking for Matsutake. Did the spores fall from someone's grilled kings and now are growing wild? These are just a couple layers I pulled off the tree. These break apart easily where my previous finds bust apart in chunks and you can peel them like string cheese. | ||
