General Location: Near Baltimore
International/State: Maryland
Morels Found: Nope
False Morels: Nope
Other Mushrooms: A. Campestris, Honeys, A. Muscarias everywhere!
General Information: Ok - Found five of these under pines. Suillus or Bolete? Not Bitter, smells mild, no staining at all, sport print like a cinnamon color with some yellow, stem solid. The tops are dry, but get just a bit slimy when I add a little water (but then dry right up again). Picture doesn't do a good job with the yellows. I'm sure they're edible, but my OCD wants to know the species. Enlighten me Fungus King!
Chris' Comments: Suillus, and pretty good...

Morels Found: yes
False Morels: yes (in Illinois)
Other Mushrooms: puffballs, polypores
General Information: Found these today in my yard pretty much in the open where grass is sparse. Near a white pine and a magnolia grandiflora. Would never have seen them because most had been bitten by frost, but my cat was eating on older one. I know - strange cat. These were the only two fresh ones. Are these red cap russela and are they edible?
Chris' Comments: Could be Russula emetic, poisonous. There are edible dark red russulas, but I would have to examine in person to tell the difference..
